Have you ever just stopped and watched? Taken a few minutes out of your schedule just to observe your surroundings? I often find myself watching.. watching while I wait for the bus, watching while I wait for the lights to change, watching while I wait for my lunch.
Watching and waiting.... sense a connection? The average Australian spends approximately 30 minutes each day waiting. Waiting in lines in the shops, waiting in lines at the cafe, waiting in lines in the carpark, waiting in lines at the post office.... times that by 7.. that's 3.5 hours a week. .. Now times that by 52... that's 182 hours a year. 182 hours a year spent waiting. Thats 182 hours a year of watching time. Next time you find yourself waiting, have a look. Take in your surroundings.. (remember to smile so you don't look like some wierd stalker!) and you might discover things you've been missing.
I enjoy watching the people around me, each person is unique and has a different story behind them. I often find my imagination wondering away.... creating wild stories about who these people are and what they do.
Having trouble? Look at the hands. Hands say a thousand words;
Some Easy to read...
And others are buried a little deeper....
So next time your waiting, have a look. You'll be surprised at just how much you learn!
